Katsuki Character

Katsuki Seiryoku
Appearance
Katsuki does not like to stand out physically, she does not wear anything over the top or extravagant, either just her plain school uniform, soccer uniform or a short T-shirt (usually Blue) with a long sleeve -undershirt(white) and jeans.
Her bright red hair contrasts the blue, she keeps it straight and normally cut to just longer than shoulder length.

Around 5’6” with an athletic build; having done soccer for most of her life

Personality
When she sets her mind to something she must be the best at it, sports, school, even a friendly game or competition between friends (more later on that). If something does not interest her (music, books, most things creative) Failing will not bother her much, though losing to someone will still bug her a small amount
She is very schedule oriented, By the time she goes to bed she knows what time she will be up, how much time she has to get ready for class, what she will do before and after class and upon returning to the dorm, her whole day set up in advance.
Anything that messes up her schedule (friends, unforeseen circumstances like rain canceling practice, or waking up late) Will stress her out tremendously until she can get back on a set schedule whether that takes her a few moments or the entire day.
As a first example Waking up late, she would stress tremendously especially if it meant she would show up to class late. She would try to sneak into the class without drawing attention to the fact that she was late (she sees this as a failure and does not want people to point it out) However after the class ends she can resume her schedule as it was.
Something more complex would be possibly having gone to a local coffee shop to do homework and forgetting a book without realizing it until she got home. She would first stress out for a brief moment then attempt to find a solution in her worry. If she could not find any way to retrieve this book before her class tomorrow (maybe the shop is too far and closed already) She would be stressed out the entire time, not knowing what work to do, what to do in class, having to take time out of practice and homework to retrieve said book, all adding up as she looses time she would have spent otherwise being productive.
Things to Katsuki are Black and White, right or wrong. If she is not helping her soccer team then she is a hindrance to their success. If someone does not make it known to her that they are happy to see her then she will believe they do not want her around at that time. If she does not succeed, then she has failed.
She has one best friend (more later), but has many acquaintances as well for the reason that if they don’t like her then they must hate her, so she has a habit of trying to make friends with everyone so she doesn’t feel like they disapprove of who she is.
She has a little trouble forming her thoughts into words when talking with people because she is normally preoccupied with other things that will have to be done later in the day rather than with what is going on at that time with the conversation.

About
Her first year of high school she had made the soccer team at right forward.
She knew at the time she wasn’t the best player but never pictured herself a hindrance to the team. She prioritized her schooling before extra curricular activities and got good grades.
Her season ended in the regional tournament as she missed what would have been the game winning goal, to her horror, on an open net.
She was heart broken as it was, feeling horrible but this was only reinforced as her coach approached her not privately though not purposely calling attention to her and telling Katsuki in short that she was a bad soccer player and should consider another hobby because their was no chance she’d make the team again.
This was the defining moment that engraved upon her that if she was not the one carrying the team then she was just holding back their potential.
But soccer was all she knew, she had grown up with it even before high school. Give it up? That seemed impossible.
Still, she could not face her coach or her team an so the reason for her moving away to the private school after such an embarrassment.
Slowly though she became determined, out of spite and anger for her old coach and team that shunned her, she wanted to prove them wrong that she was not only a good player but better than any they had ever seen.
This is why she fears failing to someone else, to her it means she is bad at what ever it was she attempted, if she does not win then she has very much lost, that’s how it was in that soccer game that ended so horrifically, there was no medal for second place, only shame.
Someone who saw Katsuki around school would probably see her with her head in her work, looking up only to stretch, she does not have time to waste as she has ambitions to continue doing well in school but to also be the best at soccer.
There is no way for her to please herself with her abilities, if she gets straight A’s she wants tougher classes, if she is the best on the soccer team she wants to win the championship.
She finds joy in being better than others, not by being good and there is always someone to better to try and beat.
If approached she will not shun the person for trying to make conversation, at least while the conversation has a purpose. Once the purpose in a conversation is lost and it becomes idle chit chat she will end it there and move on to keep pace with her schedule, chit chat is just a waste of time.
To her a conversation has purpose if she is briefly helping someone with a problem or is being given useful information.
However even when helping someone she will get frustrated if they do not understand her help and if she believes it would take to long to accurately explain will also cut the conversation short though politely as possible not finding the reason ins wasting more of her own time trying to teach someone who potentially will not understand anyway.
Should she ever be too stressed out for too long she may tend to have a drink or two for the sake of calming down. This does not happen often but should it get out of hand where her thoughts no longer come to her clearly this is a last resort thing.
Avoids getting drunk, while she does want to calm down the thought of not being able to think straight at all is not something she enjoys, especially not to the point of passing out as that would only increase the stress later.
Currently her long term goal is to end up becoming a physicist.
However she also is driven to be the best soccer player, a drive that’s fueled more by her want to prove her old team wrong than to actually become that person, while she would be happy to achieve this deep down its not her top priority.
The reason she tries so hard at this is because giving up would mean accepting defeat and that her old team and coach may have been right.
She wants to go into physics, since its so logic based, and the idea of finding out how the universe worked intrigued her, so see what the math was that ran everything.
She wants to know why the universe works the way it does, she does not believe things just happen and wants to find out why, what makes everything tick the way it does.
Katsuki’s parents have always expected her to be perfect, or the best, which ever you prefer.
This helps reinforce the idea in Katsuki that she cannot give up soccer, doing so would be failure but she also cannot give up on her school work as that would also be failure.
Her parents are very successful and for Katsuki she feels like she has a name to live up to.

Habits:
Bites sleeve when uncomfortable with a situation
Will lean back and look up when deep in thought.
Can’t clearly speak her mind, has to take a second to think about what she is going to say or else will take a lot of pauses.
When speaking will tend to avoid eye contact, however when listening she makes eye contact just fine
Bites her pen when doing homework
Unorganized, her need to stay on schedule actually causes her to rush at times and so things are rather a mess which only adds to frustration when she is unable to find something.

Who is he?:
He, as the note implies is the captain of the boys soccer team at the school
Plays Goalie.
He has played soccer all his life, like Katsuki, and is quite the star player
He practices with Katsuki most of the time, when they aren’’t practicing with their teams.
He is not as devoted to his school work as Katsuki and generally doesn’t have any idea of what he wants to do with school, choosing rather to float along until something peaks his interest or continuing on with soccer (as he is ranked one of the best players in the region.)
He came to this school for a slower curriculum so he didn’t feel rushed through classes while devoting time to his training
All that though he is still very social, going out to parties and almost always surrounded by a group, though Katsuki usually doesn’t join him in those endeavors since she feels like his friends only accept her company because she hangs out with him.
The two generally spend time at lunch, while practicing, and if Katsuki invites him over for a drink, though that’s rare.
When alone he is either at the gym, or in town meandering to kill time, goes no place in particular, just hates being in his room alone with nothing to do.

Just some ideas:

This sounds somewhat reminiscent of Rin from KS, if you use this do not make it central to her. Then again, I haven't seen the dialogue so I can't judge yet.

That seems a little beyond the boundary of plausiblity, possibly tone it down to make it more believable.

She finds joy in being better than others, not by being good and there is always someone to better to try and beat.

This could work well in creating a bad path with her competitive personality as Michio is described in the introduction as having his girlfriend to be a "thing...to have, to be better than everyone". This objectifaction could be used to create some great drama, someone who is obssessed with being better than others falls in love with someone who only wants her to improve his own status. This could be an absolutely devastating bad end scenario.

MC could help her stop self-medicating (good route), pay no attention to it (neutral route) or alternately encourage it (bad route). Could make the bad end as mentioned above into a total emotional shitstorm with no mental filter due to drunkenness.

Other than that, sounds good.

Funny enough Rin's path was the only one I could not bring myself to complete.

But thanks a lot for all of the ideas. The character still isn't finished and I will take everything in to
consideration. And yes I think the emotional point in her past does need to be changed around a lot
that was the one part I was never happy with.
